Welcome to the very first issue of : the weekly newsletter that sharpens your AI skills, one clever prompt at a time.
Every Tuesday, I'll send you an advanced prompt plucked straight from a real-world application. Think of these emails as mini-courses in prompt engineering.
Why is this useful though?
Prompt engineering is the language we use to interact with AI models — and those interactions allow us to achieve an increasing number of tasks, including:
Code Generation: write software without typing a line of code.
Synthetic Data Creation: Generate realistic, yet artificial datasets.
Data Analysis: extract insights from complex NLP data with ease.
Content Creation: accelerate writing emails, copy, and social media updates.
Multimedia Production: Create images, sounds, and soon videos.
AI Agent Design: Build agents through natural language commands.
What happens if you leverage AI models to automate/accelerate these tasks? You gain a competitive edge. Not only will you augment your current skills, but you’ll also unlock new ones. How? You learn to write better prompts.
That’s what we do here.
So let’s dive into today’s prompt, but first, a quick “origin story” that started on a train.
I was on my way back to Paris after spending a few days at my sister’s. Sitting on my left was a man who had his eyes glued to his computer screen. Curiosity got the better of me and I sneaked a peek.
Microsoft Outlook was open, surrounded by a dozen Google Drive tabs. My neighbor would copy text from one document, paste it into an open email, write a few more lines, proofread himself, and hit send.
He’d then scratch his head once or twice and open a new email to do it all over again.
The exact same scene played on repeat for three hours straight. Every iteration seemed to take more time than the previous one. No surprise there; the poor fellow was draining his mental power with every click.
It was obvious my neighbor was unaware of what LLMs can do. Rather than manually tackling every email, he could’ve delegated most of the heavy lifting to an AI assistant.
With the right prompt, all he’d need to do is review the results, add a few quick tweaks, and press “send.” And that’s exactly what inspired this email.
Today’s prompt will enable you to process emails much faster — all while keeping your own voice.
Here’s what the prompt will do:
Process the content of an email.
Reason about a solution based on inputs like documents and text.
Use specific jargon when needed.
Imitate your style.
